Crockpot Ham and Cabbage

Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds ham, cubed
- 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
- 3 large carrots, sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Dice the ham, chop the cabbage, slice the carrots, and mince the garlic.
- Sauté Onion and Garlic: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Combine in Crockpot: Add ham, cabbage, carrots, sautéed onion and garlic, chicken broth, salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaf to the crockpot.
- Cook: Set the crockpot to low and cook for 4 hours, or until cabbage and carrots are tender.
- Stir Occasionally: Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Serve: Remove bay leaf before serving. Enjoy warm.
